Hello I’m Tom and Period Terrace is my blog about interior design, DIY and raising a young family in a Victorian terraced house. It features ideas, objects, projects, and tips to create spaces that are ideal for family living, whilst being sympathetic to the charm of a period property and of course looking good!
This blog started as a chronicle of our experience as first-time buyers hungry to make an impression on our new home, an old three bedroom terraced property in Bristol, England. For those that stumble across this blog, perhaps at a similar time of life, I hope it feeds the same enthusiasm. At the very least, I hope it offers reassurance that you are not the only one wrestling a house containing no right angles, ancient plumbing, several layers of wallpaper, and all for the sake of that curb appeal and period features you insisted upon!
