12 Fantastic Children’s Books (for Ages 0-2)

I discovered the other day that I could recite the whole of Each Peach Pear Plum from memory in under 30 seconds. I must have read that book several hundred times with Gregor. We have had some serious fun with bedtime reading over the first two years, dusting off classics from my childhood, which are now in their 30th Anniversary editions! as well as discovering some fantastic new titles. Special mentions must include: Little Master Conan Doyle: Sherlock Holmes, a simple BabyLit board book that Gregor has just loved; The Gruffalo (in Scots), that allows me to indulge in a horrendous attempt at a Scottish accent; and the current book du jour, Richard Scarry’s Cars, Trucks and Things that Go. Most of these books cost around a fiver, or can be picked up for the price of half-a-pint on Amazon Marketplace. There is no money better spent.
